गाझियाबाद : उत्तर प्रदेशमधील गाझियाबादमध्ये काल एक मोठी दुर्घटना समोर आली. एका स्मशानभूमीमधील शेडचे छप्पर कोसळून झालेल्या अपघातात तब्बल 25 जणांचा मृत्यू झाला आहे. तर अनेक जण जखमी झाले असून उपचारासाठी त्यांना जवळच्या रुग्णालयात दाखल करण्यात आले आहे. यात मृतांचा आकडा आठ, नंतर 18 तर आता 25 वर गेला आहे.
याप्रकरणी आतापर्यंत तीन जणांना अटक करण्यात आली आहे. तर या प्रकरणाची अधिक चौकशी करण्यासाठी दोन सदस्यांची चौकशी समिती गठीत केली गेली आहे. गाझियाबाद ग्रामीणचे पोलीस अधिक्षकांनी याबाबत माहिती दिली आहे.
गाझियाबादमधील मुरादनगर परिसरात ही दुर्घटना घडली. मिळालेल्या माहितीनुसार, मुरादनगर येथील स्मशानभूमीत काही जण एका व्यक्तीच्या अंत्यसंस्कारांसाठी आले होते. पाऊस पडत असल्याने लोकांनी स्मशानातील शेडचा आधार घेतला होता. मात्र त्याचदरम्यान या शेडचे छप्पर अचानक कोसळले आणि त्याखाली अनेकजण दबले गेले. 17 ते 18 जण जखमी झाले असून त्यांच्यावर उपचार सुरू आहेत.
पोलिसांनी दिलेल्या माहितीनुसार, उखलारसी गावातील एका व्यक्तीचा मृतदेह अंत्यसंस्कारांसाठी आणण्यात आला होता. या मृतदेहावर अंत्यसंस्कार सुरू असताना उपस्थित लोकांनी छताखाली आश्रय घेतला होता. त्याचवेळी स्मशानमधील शेडचे छप्पर कोसळून सुमारे 20 ते 25 जण त्याखाली अडकले. यामधील 8 जणांचा घटनास्थळीच मृत्यू झाला. जखमींनी रुग्णालयात दाखल करण्यात आले असून मृतांची संख्या आता 25 वर पोहोचली आहे.

दु:ख व्यक्त केलं आहे. उत्तर प्रदेशचे मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ यांनी दुर्घटनेस जबाबदार असलेल्यांवर कडक कारवाई करण्याचे आदेश दिलेले आहेत. तसेच उत्तर प्रदेश सरकारकडून या दुर्घटनेत मृत्यू झालेल्यांच्या कुटुंबास दोन लाख रुपये मदतीची घोषणा करण्यात आली आहे.
गाझियाबादला मेरठशी जोडणाऱ्या राष्ट्रीय महामार्गावर संतप्त झालेल्या मृतांच्या नातेवाईकांनी मृतदेह ठेवून रास्ता रोको केला आहे. यामुळे महामार्गाच्या दुतर्फा वाहनांच्या रांगा लागलेल्या आहेत. पोलीस प्रशासन नातेवाईकांची समजूत काढण्याचा प्रयत्न करत आहेत. एका हिंदी वेबसाईटने याबाबतचे वृत्त दिले आहे.

धक्कादायक बाब म्हणजे स्मशानभूमीच्या शेडचे छप्पर हे काही महिन्यांपूर्वीच नव्याने बांधण्यात आलं होतं. एनडीआरएफटीने याबाबत माहिती देताना धक्कादायक खुलासा केला आहे. स्मशानभूमीच्या शेडचे छप्पर कोसळण्यामागचं कारण सांगितलं आहे. चार महिन्यांपूर्वीच नवीन छप्पर बांधण्यात आलं होतं. छत बांधण्यासाठी वापरण्यात आलेलं सामान हे अत्यंत निकृष्ट दर्जाचं होतं. त्यामुळे ही दुर्घटना घडल्याचं सांगितलं आहे.
