सोलापूर : मुंबईतील सह्याद्री शासकीय विश्रामगृहात आज झालेल्या या बैठकीस राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेसचे अध्यक्ष खा. शरद पवार, मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरे, उपमुख्यमंत्री अजित पवार, परिवहनमंत्री अनिल परब, पर्यावरणमंत्री आदित्य ठाकरे, पोलिस महासंचालक संजय पांडे, परिवहन सचिव आशिषकुमार सिंग, परिवहन आयुक्त अविनाश ढाकणे हे उपस्थित होते.
प्रिसिजन कॅमशाफ्ट्सचे चेअरमन यतिन शहा व कार्यकारी संचालक करण शहा यांनी सर्वांना भारतातील पहिल्या मध्यम आकाराच्या रेट्रोफिटेड इलेक्ट्रिक बसची सविस्तर माहिती दिली. या बसची फिल्मही दाखविण्यात आली. राज्य शासनाने प्रिसिजन समूहाच्या या बसचं व रेट्रोफिटिंग तंत्रज्ञानाचं कौतुक केलं.
वाहतूकीमुळे होणारे प्रदूषण कमी करण्याचा प्रयत्न जगभरात सुरू आहे. त्या पार्श्वभूमीवर प्रिसिजन उद्योगसमूहाने ही बस तयार केली आहे. प्रिसिजन कॅमशाफ्ट्स लिमिटेडचे कार्यकारी संचालक करण शहा यांनी ही माहिती माध्यमांन दिली होती.

प्रिसिजनने डिझेलवर चालणाऱ्या २३ आसन क्षमतेच्या प्रवासी बसचे रूपांतर इलेक्ट्रिक बसमध्ये केले आहे. मध्यम आकाराची प्रवासी बस इलेक्ट्रिक बसमध्ये रूपांतरित होण्याची ही देशातील पहिलीच घटना आहे. ही वातानुकूलित बस एका चार्जिंगमध्ये १८० किलोमीटर धावेल. प्रिसिजनची इलेक्ट्रिक व्हेईकल टीम वर्षभर या प्रोजेक्टवर पुणे येथे काम करत होती. यासाठी पुण्यातील ऑटोमोटिव्ह रिसर्च असोसिएशन ऑफ इंडिया (ARAI) संस्थेने या बसचे टेस्टिंग करत प्रिसिजनला सहकार्य केले. या बसचे शासनासमोर सादरीकरण झाले आहे.
प्रदूषण कमी करण्यासाठी जगभरात इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनांचा पर्याय पुढे येत आहे. मात्र संपूर्ण नवे इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन बनविण्याचा खर्च मोठा असतो. त्यामुळे जुन्या वाहनाचे ‘रेट्रोफिटिंग’ ही संकल्पना पुढे आली. यामध्ये वाहनाचे इंजिन काढून त्याला इलेक्ट्रिक ड्राईव्हलाईन बसविली जाते. अशा प्रकारच्या इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनांसाठी सुरुवातीची गुंतवणूक मोठी असली तरी ऑपरेटिंग कॉस्ट खूप कमी असणार आहे.
प्रिसिजनने मे २०१८ मध्ये नेदरलँड्समधील ‘इमॉस मोबील सिस्टिम्स बी. व्ही.’ ही इलेक्ट्रिक ड्राईव्हलाईन उत्पादक कंपनी संपादित केली. इमॉसमुळे प्रिसिजन समूहाकडे इंधनावर चालणाऱ्या वाहनाचे इलेक्ट्रीफिकेशन करण्याचे अत्याधुनिक तंत्रज्ञान उपलब्ध झाले. इमॉसने आतापर्यंत ६०० पेक्षाही अधिक जड वाहनांचे इलेक्ट्रिफिकेशन केले आहे. त्यानंतर ही वाहने एकूण १६ कोटी किलोमीटर्सपेक्षाही अधिक अंतर यशस्वीरीत्या धावली आहेत, असेही करण शहा यांनी सांगितले.
