कोरोना व्हायरसच्या नव्या व्हेरियंटमुळे ओमिक्रॉनचा धोका वाढतच चालला आहे. तब्बल 24 देशांमध्ये ओमिक्रॉनने आता हातपाय पसरले आहेत.

जगभरातील 25 देशांमध्ये ओमिक्रॉनचा संसर्ग झाल्याचं पाहायला मिळत आहे. अशातच दिलासादायक बाब म्हणजे, अद्याप भारतात कोरोनाचा नवा व्हेरियंट ओमिक्रॉनचा एकही रुग्ण आढळून आला नाही.
आरोग्य मंत्रालयानं जारी केलेल्या आकडेवारीनुसार, गेल्या 24 तासांत देशभरात 9765 रुग्णांची नोंद करण्यात आली आहे. एकूण 477 रुग्णांचा कोरोनामुळे मृत्यू झाला आहे. त्यामुळे आतापर्यंत देशभरात कोरोनामुळे मृत्यू झालेल्यांचा एकूण आकडा 4 लाख 69 हजार 724 वर पोहोचला आहे.
