नवी दिल्ली : संवादाचं प्रमुख माध्यम बनलेल्या व्हॉट्सअ‍ॅपने ४ जानेवारीला आपल्या नव्या सेवा शर्ती (टर्म ऑफ सर्व्हिस) जाहीर करत सगळ्यांनाच धक्का दिला होता. ८ फेब्रुवारीपासून या सेवा शर्ती लागू केल्या जाणार होत्या. मात्र टीका आणि संशयाचं वातावरण कायम असल्यानं व्हॉट्सअ‍ॅपने एक पाऊल मागे घेत मोठा निर्णय घेतला आहे.
व्हॉट्सअ‍ॅपच्या या नव्या प्राइव्हसी पॉलिसीमुळे सगळीकडे असुरक्षिततेचं वातावरण तयार झालं होतं. त्यावर व्हॉट्सअ‍ॅपकडून खुलासाही करण्यात आला. पण, होत असलेली टीका आणि संशयाचं वातावरण कायम असल्यानं व्हॉट्सअ‍ॅपने एक पाऊल मागे घेत मोठा निर्णय घेतला आहे. व्हॉट्सअ‍ॅप नवीन प्राइव्हसी पॉलिसीची घोषणा केली होती. या पॉलिसीमुळे नागरिकांची माहिती सार्वजनिक होणार असल्याची चर्चा सुरू झाली. त्यावरून बराच गदारोळ सुरू झाला आहे.
लोकांच्या मनात निर्माण झालेल्या शंकाचं व्हॉट्सअ‍ॅपकडून निरसनही करण्यात आलं होतं. मात्र, संशयाचं व भीतीचं वातावरण कमी होत नसल्याचं चित्र आहे. त्यातच दुसऱ्या अ‍ॅपकडे लोक वळू लागल्यानं व्हॉट्सअ‍ॅपने प्राइव्हसी पॉलिसी लागू करण्याचा निर्णय पुढे ढकलला आहे.
फेसबुकची मालकी असलेल्या व्हॉट्सअ‍ॅपने शुक्रवारी या निर्णयाची घोषणा केली. चुकीच्या माहितीमुळे लोकांमध्ये चिंतेचं वातावरण असून, त्यामुळे प्राइव्हसी अपडेट करण्याचा निर्णय पुढे ढकलत असल्याचं व्हॉट्सअ‍ॅपने म्हटलं आहे. “ज्या शर्तीची समीक्षा करून त्या स्वीकारण्यासाठी जी तारीख देण्यात आली होती, ती आम्ही मागे घेत आहोत. ८ फेब्रुवारीला कुणीही आपलं अकाऊंट बंद किंवा डिलीट करू शकणार नाही. आम्ही चुकीची माहिती दूर करण्यासाठी प्रयत्न करीत आहोत.
व्हॉट्सअ‍ॅप गोपनियता आणि सुरक्षेवर कशापद्धतीनं काम करतेय याविषयी स्पष्टता आणणार आहोत. १५ मे रोजी व्यावसायिक पर्याय उपलब्ध करण्यापूर्वी नव्या प्राइव्हसी पॉलिसीबद्दल जाणून घेण्यासाठी हळूहळू लोकांपर्यंत पोहोचणार आहोत,” असं व्हॉट्सअ‍ॅपनं म्हटलं आहे.
